A Rocket City-Area Morning Favorite

Big Bad Breakfast Madison brings Your Southern Scratch Diner to North Alabama, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch seven days a week. Close to Rocket City, we keep our formula simple: real ingredients, scratch-made food and genuine Southern hospitality, all centered around a menu created by James Beard Award-winning and Michelin-recommended Chef John Currence.

We crack real eggs and make biscuits, gravies, jams, salad dressings, hollandaise, sauces, Bloody Mary mix and JC’s Hot Sauce in-house, and hand-batter our chicken. Local honey, locally sourced McEwen & Sons grits and fresh produce whenever possible add a little North Alabama to the table. Lighter starts include avocado toast, steel-cut oatmeal, house-made granola and yogurt, egg-white omelets, wraps and salads. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available; let us know your dietary needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Lunch brings burgers, sandwiches and our fried chicken sandwich. Fresh-squeezed orange juice is made daily, and lattes, cappuccinos and espresso shots are ready for lift-off. Full-service breakfast and lunch catering is available for schools, teacher appreciation meals, athletic teams, colleges, PTO meetings, showers, wedding mornings, corporate events and meetings throughout Madison.
