Sunshine, salt air and a scratch-made breakfast make a pretty good combination. Big Bad Breakfast Destin is Your Southern Scratch Diner on the Emerald Coast, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch seven days a week with genuine Southern hospitality and a menu created by James Beard Award-winning and Michelin-recommended Chef John Currence.

We crack real eggs, hand-batter our chicken and make biscuits, gravies, jams, salad dressings, hollandaise, sauces, Bloody Mary mix and JC’s Hot Sauce from scratch. Local honey, locally sourced McEwen & Sons grits, and fresh produce whenever possible add regional flavor. Want to keep things light before hitting the beach? Choose avocado toast, steel-cut oatmeal, house-made granola and yogurt, an egg-white omelet, wrap or salad. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available; tell us your dietary needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Lunch brings burgers, sandwiches and our fried chicken sandwich. Fresh-squeezed orange juice is made daily, while lattes, cappuccinos and espresso shots get beach days started. Our pet-friendly patio welcomes the whole crew, paws included. Full-service breakfast and lunch catering is available for teacher appreciation, athletic teams, college groups, PTO meetings, showers, wedding mornings, corporate meetings and celebrations.
