Big Bad Breakfast Charleston brings Your Southern Scratch Diner to a city that knows Southern food and hospitality well. Open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch and lunch, BBB serves a menu created by James Beard Award-winning and Michelin-recommended Chef John Currence.

Real eggs are cracked in our kitchen, our chicken is hand-battered, and biscuits, gravies, jams, salad dressings, hollandaise, sauces, Bloody Mary mix and JC’s Hot Sauce are made from scratch. We incorporate local honey, locally sourced Marsh Hen Mills Grits, and fresh produce whenever possible, giving the menu a connection to the region. Alongside hearty Southern plates, guests can find avocado toast, steel-cut oatmeal, house-made granola and yogurt, egg-white omelets, wraps and salads. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available; let us know your dietary needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Lunch delivers burgers, sandwiches and our fried chicken sandwich. Fresh-squeezed orange juice is made daily, while lattes, cappuccinos and espresso shots are ready to wake up the Holy City. Outside, our pet-friendly patio offers a relaxed place to enjoy the morning. Full-service breakfast and lunch catering is available for teacher appreciation, athletic teams, colleges, PTO meetings, showers, wedding mornings, corporate events and meetings throughout Charleston.
